Damnak, commonly known as Artemisia vulgaris, is a potent medicinal herb in Ayurveda, widely used for its Deepana (digestive stimulant), Krimighna (antimicrobial), and Vata-Kapha pacifying properties. With its Tikta (bitter) and Katu (pungent) Rasa, Laghu (light) and Ruksha (dry) Guna, and Ushna (hot) Virya, Damnak has been traditionally used to treat digestive disorders, menstrual irregularities, and neurological conditions. This herb is particularly valued in Ayurveda for its ability to stimulate digestion, eliminate toxins, and enhance reproductive health.
Krimi Roga refers to worm infestations and microbial infections in the body, often caused by an imbalance in Agni (digestive fire), improper diet, and accumulation of Ama (toxins). These parasitic infections can affect the digestive tract, liver, blood, skin, and other organs, leading to symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, skin rashes, itching, and lethargy.
Consumption of contaminated food and water
Poor digestion leading to Ama (toxin accumulation)
Weakened immunity due to improper diet
Excessive intake of sweets, dairy, and raw foods
Unhygienic lifestyle and poor sanitation
Weak digestive fire (Mandagni) leads to improper digestion, resulting in the formation of Ama.
Ama serves as a breeding ground for parasites, which then multiply in the intestines, liver, and blood.
Vitiation of Kapha and Vata doshas promotes the spread of these parasites, leading to chronic infections and systemic complications.
If untreated, Krimi Roga can lead to severe nutritional deficiencies, skin disorders, chronic digestive issues, and neurological disturbances.
