Fruits: Oval-shaped, green when unripe and yellow-orange when ripe, with a soft, sweet pulp.
Seeds: Black, encased in a gelatinous coating.
Erandkarkati is native to Central America but has naturalized and been cultivated in tropical regions worldwide, including India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines, and parts of Africa.

Fruit (Ripe): 200-300 g daily.
Juice (Fruit/Leaves): 10-20 ml twice daily.

Vata: Improves digestion, alleviates bloating, and supports gut motility.
Kapha: Reduces excessive mucus and heaviness in the body.
Pitta: Provides mild detoxification but can aggravate Pitta if overused.

For Constipation: Eat ripe papaya or drink its juice in the morning.

For Intestinal Worms: Dry papaya seeds, powder them, and take 1 tsp with honey.
For Wound Healing: Apply papaya latex directly to wounds after cleaning.
Pregnancy: Unripe papaya and latex may induce uterine contractions and should be avoided.
