Description: Suchi, also known as Anantamul or Sugandhi, is a perennial herb or sub-shrub that can grow up to 1-2 meters in height. It has a woody stem at the base and herbaceous branches. The leaves are simple, alternate, ovate to lanceolate, with a toothed margin, and have a distinctive aromatic scent when crushed. The flowers are small, pink, or white, and are borne singly or in clusters in the leaf axils.
Occurrence: Suchi is native to the Indian subcontinent and is commonly found in tropical and subtropical regions of India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. It typically grows in open, sunny areas, along roadsides, and in grasslands.
