The tree produces catkins, which are long, drooping clusters of flowers that appear in early spring.

Mode of Action: The primary active component of Vetas is salicin, which is metabolized into salicylic acid in the body. Salicylic acid has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties similar to aspirin, providing relief from pain and inflammation. The astringent properties of tannins help in tightening tissues and reducing bleeding, making it useful in treating conditions like diarrhea and hemorrhoids. The flavonoids and phenolic glycosides contribute to its antioxidant effects, protecting cells from oxidative stress.

Note: Due to its salicin content, Vetas should be used under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner, especially in individuals with known allergies to salicylates or those taking anticoagulant medications.
Vetas is valued in Ayurveda for its wide range of therapeutic benefits, particularly for its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic, and astringent properties. It is commonly used in the management of pain, fever, digestive disorders, and inflammatory conditions.
